L-Glutamine

As the most abundant amino acid found in the body, glutamine plays a crucial role in bodily processes. Supplementation can be especially key for muscle maintenance and support when it comes to long, intense training sessions with prolonged muscle breakdown. Glutamine levels can drop by as much as 50% during intense training. Supplementing with L-glutamine has been shown to speed recovery due to improved muscle hydration.(1)

HGH (human growth hormone) may be stimulated by l-glutamine supplementation.  Studies have demonstrated that taking L-glutamine can elevate plasma growth hormone and alkaline reserves. (2)

Fat burning and glucose stabilization are also affected by Glutamine.  Supplementation effectively increases insulin concentrations and is being researched as a therapeutic method to stimulate insulin secretion in obesity and type 2 diabetes.

Beta Alanine

Beta-alanine is the building block of carnosine, a molecule that helps to buffer acid in muscles, increasing physical performance in the 60-240 second range. Beta-alanine can aid lean mass gain. Carnosine appears to be an anti-oxidant and anti-aging compound.

Supplementation with beta-alanine has been shown to increase muscle carnosine concentrations by up to 58 percent in just four weeks, and 80 percent in 10 weeks.

L-Taurine

Taurine is said to improve mental and athletic performance by improving blood flow and increasing exercise capacity. Taurine is an amino acid that is stored in muscle cells and pulls in water, hydrating muscle cells and increasing volume. This is especially pronounced when coupled with glutamine and creatine.

Directions

Mix one (1) scoop in 12-16 ounces of water and consume on training days, or throughout the day on non-training days.
